Our firm was founded in 1951 and has been dedicated to the pursuit of justice from day one.  Today, our firm has four attorneys and decades of collective experience. Behind Our
Law Firm

Founding BY
Gillis E. Powell Sr.

Powell, Powell & Powell was founded by Gillis E. Powell, Sr.  Gillis E. Powell, Sr. was the grandson of Judge A.R. Campbell and often attended court with his grandfather when growing up in Northwest Florida.  After serving his country in World War II, Gillis E. Powell, Sr. earned his law degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He started our firm in Crestview in 1951. He also served as an Assistant State Attorney and later became a Circuit Court Judge. He retired from the bench in 1977 and returned to private practice with his son Gillis E. Powell, Jr.

Today, three generations of Powell family attorneys have carried on the proud tradition of the firm that Gillis E. Powell Sr. founded more than 65 years ago. Our family of attorneys is firmly committed to helping clients navigate the civil and criminal court systems so they can protect their rights and get the justice they deserve.

With 43 years of experience, Gillis E. Powell, Jr. continues to represent clients facing a variety of legal issues, from being charged with murder to being victimized by careless doctors or unsafe drivers.  He has been joined by his family of attorneys in the pursuit of legal excellence and client advocacy.
